Am I addicted to porn?
A pornography addiction test (Brief Pornography Screen)
Five questions, under a minute. The questionnaire gives a first indication of whether pornography use has become a problem, and whether it’s worth talking to a professional.
It doesn’t replace an assessment. Your answers aren’t sent anywhere and aren’t saved. The score is worked out only on your device, and no one else sees it.
What to answer about: how often these things have happened to you in the past six months, in regard to your use of pornography.
What the score means
-
0–3 No signs of problematic use
According to the questionnaire, your use isn’t in a problematic range right now. If something still worries you, that’s a good reason to look into it.
-
4–5 Possible problematic use
It’s worth looking into this with a professional, and seeing whether and how it affects your life.
-
6–10 Worth seeking help
A score like this usually points to a need for treatment.
What now?
Any score is a starting point, not a verdict. The questionnaire doesn’t check whether pornography use is harming your work, your relationship or other areas of your life; that’s something to explore in conversation. And guilt on its own, for example because of your values or faith, doesn’t mean there’s an addiction.
I also treat pornography and sex addiction. You can talk about anything here, including the things that are hard to say out loud. If you’d like to talk about your result, you can call me. The first call is short and free of charge, and this can be treated without putting your life on hold.
