Accessibility statement

It matters to me that everyone looking for help can read this website, get in touch with me and come to therapy, including people with disabilities.

This page sets out what has been done to make the website and the service accessible, what has not yet been tested, and how to contact me if something doesn’t work.

Website accessibility

The website was built according to the guidelines of Israeli Standard SI 5568 for web content accessibility, at level AA. This is the standard that Israel’s accessibility regulations for services refer to, and it is based on the international WCAG 2.0 guidelines.

What has been done on the website:

  • All links can be reached with the keyboard alone, and the current position is marked with a clear outline.
  • At the top of every page there is a “Skip to content” link, which skips the header.
  • Pages are built with orderly headings, so a screen reader can move from section to section and from question to question.
  • The photo has a text alternative, and purely decorative symbols are hidden from screen readers.
  • Text is dark on a light background, with a contrast ratio of at least 4.5 to 1.
  • The view can be enlarged up to 200% without content being cut off, and the website also adapts to phone screens.
  • There is no flashing or moving content, no time limits and no forms. Anyone who has asked their device to reduce motion will not see animated scrolling.
  • Links that open in a new tab are marked as such for screen readers.

What has not yet been tested

  • Testing was done with automated tools, including keyboard navigation and zoom. The website has not yet been tested with a screen reader by a person, and it may have problems that did not show up in testing.
  • The website links to other websites: WhatsApp, the website of the Center for Therapy and Counseling, and two English-language sources cited in the questions section. Their accessibility is not under my control.

Accessibility of the clinic and sessions

  • The building has an elevator. It can be reached from the entrance and from the parking lot without stairs.
  • There are accessible restrooms, and parking is available in the parking lot.
  • Sessions can also be held online.
  • The first contact and scheduling can be done by phone, WhatsApp message or email, whichever is most convenient.
  • If you need an adjustment in order to come to a session or take part in it, it’s best to tell me in advance, and we’ll find a solution together.

Contacting me about accessibility

Have you come across a problem on the website, or do you need an adjustment? You can contact me, Haggai Zachor, in any of these ways:

Please write which page and which part of it the problem was in, and which browser or assistive software you were using. I’ll get back to you as soon as possible and deal with it.
