About me

Haggai Zachor

I’ve been in the addiction field since 2014. I came to it through a personal connection, and it is close to my heart and soul.

When I started out, I saw people leave treatment or go back to using, and I thought they simply weren’t ready yet, that they hadn’t hit rock bottom. Today I think differently. People can be helped to move themselves toward change long before rock bottom, and there’s no need to wait for things to get worse before asking for help.

Change doesn’t have to be a miracle either. In most cases, what’s needed is simply the right treatment, one that adapts itself to the person and not the other way around. That’s why I meet people where they are, at eye level, and move forward with them at their own pace.

Today I work at, and manage, Orenit Weinstock’s Center for Therapy and Counseling (Hebrew website, opens in a new tab), and I also see clients in my private practice.
